ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2024

Added RAW support for the following camera models:

ACD Systems is committed to releasing regular updates to support RAW files from new camera models, as they become available. View the complete list of supported RAW formats.

Improvements 

• Added a new command to force metadata to be embedded on files which do not have the Embed Pending flag set.
• Updated the IDE_WEBP.apl plugin to fix potential security issues.
• Updated the Embed ACDSee Metadata options to require selecting at least one type of metadata to embed.
• Fixed an issue that could cause Manage mode to freeze when browsing HEVC/High Efficiency video shot on iPhone 15.
  • Known issue: In View mode, while playing HEVC videos shot on iPhone 15, moving the playhead will cause the video player to freeze. The application will not freeze and you will be able to switch to another file or leave View mode to recover. We have reported this issue to Microsoft as it appears to be outside of our control.
• Fixed multiple crashes related to developed files.
• Fixed a crash when viewing certain animated GIFs.
• Fixed a crash caused by embedding updated ACDSee Face Data in some cases.
• Fixed an issue in Media mode that could cause thumbnails to be rebuilt unnecessarily.
• Fixed an issue with Develop mode Gradient masks that could cause the Feathering slider to behave unpredictably.
• Fixed an issue that prevented using a keyboard shortcut to undo the Paste Mask command in Develop mode.
• Fixed a rare case where a Developed file with masks could fail to generate a thumbnail in Manage mode or display an error message when selected.
• Fixed workflows in AI Object Selection that could cause previous selections to be reselected.
• Fixed workflows in AI Object Selection that could cause adding to selection to reduce the opacity of previous selections.
• Fixed Import Options incorrectly affecting several Quick Search options in certain cases.
• Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause artifacts to appear in Batch Edit.
• Fixed a text issue in Photomerge.
• Fixed a cosmetic issue in Develop mode related to the 1:1 preview.
• Fixed a cosmetic issue with the brush preview in Develop mode.

Known Issues

• When using Sky Replacement on two layers of different sizes, the smaller layer’s sky will bleed outside of the selected layer.
• Cannot create a new folder in the SmugMug uploader.
• Actions Browser can only be invoked in one instance of ACDSee in Manage mode.
• Drag & drop from mobile devices to Windows® Explorer® does not work but dragging and dropping from mobile devices within ACDSee is supported.
• ACDSee uses the base layer’s color profile for any additional layers.
• .acdc format is not supported in Develop mode.
• In the ACDSee Layered Editor, masks cannot be added when using the Move tool.
• Watermark shows an incorrect preview in certain scenarios.
• Color images turn to black and white when added as layers on grayscale images.
• It is recommended that you restart ACDSee after importing a Lightroom™ database.
• Reset Layout does not reset multiple image baskets.
• Keyword fields are limited to 64 characters.
• If a video cannot be decoded, it will not be returned by the Video Special Items search.
• UTF-16 files missing a byte order mark cannot be imported as a keyword list.
• Pasting files in View mode may produce unexpected results.
• ACDSee 365 mode does not support multiple image baskets.
• If you close the Recording Actions dialog, it is hidden until the next Action recording.
• Copying a layer does not include copying layer effects.
• GPR thumbnail may not display when importing from or browsing in a camera device.
• Importing images from a network location with the option of “Preserve subfolder names” may not import images properly.
• Database conversion and database export/import do not transfer keyword and category keyboard shortcuts. 

Not Supported

• ACDSee does not preserve layers when editing GSD, PSD and TIFF files.
• Canon C-RAW is not supported.
• IPTC metadata is not supported for HEIC files.
• .acdc files created in ACDSee Ultimate 2024 are not supported in Ultimate 2021 or older.
