LUXEA Pro Video Editor 7.0

Release Notes

Build 7.0.0.2293

LUXEA Pro Video Editor is only available in 64-bit.

New Features

  • New GUI design – the GUI has been completely re-designed for both the video editor and the recorder. Move and resize panels to customize your workspace. These workspaces can be saved, and you can easily switch between different workspaces. The Export window has been modernized with updated presets for common devices. The Options window has also been redesigned.
  • Keyframes – control the transition of properties like Opacity, Position, Scale, Rotation, Crop, Volume, Panner, and Pitch. Add complex curves to dial in finer transitions.
  • Content Pack Manager – browse, download, and install content packs from within the application using the new Pack Manager. Four new content packs are available at launch – the Healthcare, Blooper, Chef’s, and Photography packs, with more to come after launch. All previous content packs are compatible with LUXEA Pro 7.
  • Advanced Speed Controls – adjust media speed uniformly. Reverse the speed, and ripple edit speed changes while maintaining pitch. Intuitive Speed Ramping controls add a whole new dimension to your videos.
  • Masking – hide parts of your media using the new masking feature. Pick from the default samples or add your custom mask.
  • Audio recorder – dynamically record and generate audio clips in sync with the timeline while playing video.
  • Audio meter – visually monitor the audio levels using the new Audio Meter on the timeline.
  • Ability to adjust left/right channel audio – adjust the Volume, Panner, and Pitch using the new properties section for Audio. You can also adjust Left and Right Audio Channel volumes separately. The new Equalizer lets you choose from default presets like Pop, Dance, Jazz, Soft, and Rap. You can also create your custom preset.
  • Ability to add Captions – add captions with time codes and control the text’s Font, Size, Style, Color, Alignment and Positions. You can also import captions from SRT files.
  • Auto stop function in the recorder – stop a recording after a pre-defined duration, or once it reaches a certain file size.
  • New tools for managing assets – a new navigation panel helps access your assets much more easily. Organize Media, Text, Transitions, Behaviors, Filters, Overlays and Elements using the Sort By, and Group by features. Finding specific assets is easier with the new search function. You can also mark frequently used assets as favorites for faster access.
  • Shared Media – share media files among all projects instead of having to import media files every time for each project.
  • Elements – new elements pane with default elements to add to your productions.
  • Relink Media – after using a media file in the project, if you move your media in your hard drive, you no longer have to remove it from the project. Use the Relink Media option to keep using that file.
  • Better Editing Workflow – add media to your timeline using the Insert, Append, Overwrite, and Add to New Track options. Re-arrange the order of tracks and paste specified properties from one media item to others.
  • Pre-edit media using the Source panel – pre-edit clips without adding them to the main project timeline.
  • Home Screen – start a new project, open an existing project, or launch the recorder from the new home screen that appears on launch. Use the Projects History Manager to navigate recent projects faster or find specific projects using the search function.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts Manager – view default keyboard shortcuts and modify them to your liking.

Improvements

  • New file format support – Added support for DNG and TIFF files.
  • Filters – Ability to add keyframes for all filter properties.
  • Freeze Frame – Use separate Freeze Frame clip instead of a part of video, make the Freeze Frame clip support more properties.
  • Text – All properties of Text support keyframes, and the user saved custom text supports keyframe as well.
