ACDSee Photo Studio Beta 5 Release Notes

New Features

  • Modernized graphical interface advancing usability and productivity. This includes a cleaner look across all modes, improved Filmstrip in View and Develop mode, streamlined navigation in View mode for browsing speed and convenience, thumbnail display optimized for visibility, and a better way to view and assign ACDSee metadata in View and Develop mode via icons in the Status bar.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where image thumbnails and file information fail to appear for files with a pre-1970 creation date
  • Fixed an issue where the Calendar is based on file creation date rather than date taken
  • Fixed an issue where generated thumbnails may be pixelated if multiple monitors with different resolutions are connected to the Mac
  • Fixed a crash when developing a PSD or TIFF file
  • Fixed file list sort performance
  • Fixed an issue where certain develop settings (such as Noise Reduction) could cause a crash or result in incorrect image output

Notes

  • Beta 4 users, please be aware that Beta 4 databases will not be recognized in Beta 5 by default due to a filename change, To use your Beta 4 database, please rename the database files at "~/Library/Application Support/ACD Systems/ACDSeeBeta" from "com.ACDSystems.ACDSeeBeta (version 7.0)" to "com.ACDSystems.ACDSeePhotoStudio (version 7.0)" (.mediaDatabase, .mediaDatabase-shm, .mediaDatabase-wal).
  • Although we strive to maintain backward compatibility with previous Betas, please be aware this is Beta software. Future changes may occur which break compatibility with the current Beta release.
