Does ACDSee store my prompts or images when I use Generative AI features?

2026-09-28T21:44:53+00:00

ACDSee never stores text prompts, reference images, or the input image for any of the Generative AI features. ACDSee securely stores output images for seven days, so you can retrieve them if, for example, you accidentally close ACDSee while waiting for a generated image to return. After seven days, they are deleted.

Generating an image requires sending your request to Google, which provides the underlying AI service. ACDSee uses Google’s paid commercial service, under which Google does not use your prompts or images to train or improve its models. Google briefly retains them for abuse monitoring and legal compliance before deleting them, and this processing may occur on servers outside your country. Full details are in the AI Image Generation Terms of Use, available in-app.
