ACD™ Floating License Server
Save time and money. Get ACDSee power in numbers.
Overview
ACD Floating License Server lets you deliver ACD's award-winning, photo management software to every user in your organization without having to pay for dozens of unique licenses.
Give your entire organization access to ACDSee for a fraction of what it would cost to buy individual licenses.
How It Works
ACD Floating License Server automatically regulates the use of ACDSee, allowing up to the maximum number of licenses you’ve purchased to be used simultaneously.
The software licenses 'float' to whoever is using ACDSee at the time, making efficient use of your software investment and increasing your business efficiency. Purchasing 20 floating licenses for a system of 100 computers can save you up to 65% of the cost of purchasing a license for each individual computer.
In addition, ACD Floating License Server distributes and manages your licenses, and makes it easy to add more licenses.
Save up to 65% on volume software licensing purchases of ACDSee products.

Quick Installation and Setup
You can install the Floating License Server (FLS) to your existing network in as little as 10 minutes. Setting up and maintaining your licenses is easy with the intuitive graphical interface. Adding new licenses to the system as your organization grows is simple.
The ACD Floating License System consists of ACDSee, plus the ACD Floating License Server, which distributes, monitors, and manages those licenses.
Automatic License Sharing, Queuing, and Usage Monitoring
The Floating License Server automatically shares and manages licenses over your network. When all licenses are in use, it queues clients for the next available license and automatically connects them when one is ready.
As an administrator, you can view real-time usage information using the statistical report tool. You can also generate historical reports on usage statistics, including the number of minutes users were in the queue, and the total number of license requests made over a given period.
If you need hard copies of any data, you can export data to a printable text file to share with your colleagues.
Configurable Network Settings, Lockable Licenses, and More
The floating license system lets you configure 'keep alive' communications between client and server. This means you control the frequency of network traffic.
The FLS allows users to be mobile, too. Users can work offline or on the road by locking a license for continued use. Administrators can set the maximum lock time. Network administrators can also send broadcast messages to users, and revoke licenses over the network.
