Software Program Manager Intern
Summary
ACD Systems is looking for a highly-motivated and talented Software Program Manager Intern. The successful candidate for this 12 month position will support the product/project management team working closely with the Senior Project Manager.
Overview
The Software Program Manager Intern will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and deployment of the product release. The candidate is a highly energetic individual with superb communication, program and project management skills and will be responsible for managing all project tasks and budget associated with the implementation of the Company's new products. This includes all tasks required to enable online photo processing, consumer electronics, advertising, content and other partners to participate in the project, and tasks involved with deploying the service platform across the Company's global markets. The successful candidate will also be involved in the setting of standards and in driving the process, behaviour and measurements practiced by all program and project managers within ACD Systems. This position is highly matrixed and requires an individual capable of dealing with competing priorities, multiple projects, multiple functional and administrative reporting structures, geographically dispersed activities, management of projects with external partners and multicultural environments. Foreign language skills, especially Chinese and French, are essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science is required. A degree in business or commerce is desirable.
- Experience in systems analysis, software engineering and network design, including supervisory experience
- Experience with management of project budgets
- Demonstrated ability to start and complete multiple projects within an online services environment
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, managing multiple partners and organizations with different languages, cultures and global locations
- Excellent leadership, management, motivational and problem solving skills
- Ability to excel in stressful conditions
- Multilingual capability in English, French and Chinese

- Undertaking early release definition and scope negotiation
